2:00-4:00 pm | Saturday, Sept. 14th | Ages 5+
We know sometimes you just need something fun and creative to do on a Saturday afternoon, so we've added just the thing! Come by from 2-4pm on Saturday, Sept. 14th to create this limited-time fused glass Dragonfly. The combination of transparent and dichroic glass really makes this bug shimmer in the sunlight! This adorable project will remind you of sunny, summer days while getting you excited for more glass fusing projects to come in the fall.
The Dragonfly project takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. We will be set up for this project between 2pm and 4pm on the 14th. Please register the number of participants that will be making a project, so we can gauge the turn out. When registering, please select either the 2-3pm slot or the 3-4pm slot, however you are able to come by anytime between 2pm and 4pm. As we are not filling specific registration slots for this activity, there may be a short wait time to begin your project, but we will do our best to get everyone making as quickly as possible.
In the case of inclement weather, Projects in the Orchard may need to be moved to our porch. This will limit seating and possibly lengthen wait times if busy. In some cases, Projects in the Orchard may need to be canceled. Keep an eye on our social media pages for any updates on the day of the event.
Want to make a day of it at The Glass Orchard? We'll have a hot glass demonstration from 1-2pm, U-Pick apple picking of in-season varieties, and Scavenger Hunt worksheets available at the checkout desk. Stop in our orchard store for fresh pressed apple cider and other fall goodies. Bring the whole family for a fulfilling day of arts and agriculture!
*Please note, Projects on the Porch (P.O.P) will be suspended from 2-4pm on the 14th to accommodate this specialty project.
All supplies and kiln firing included. Pieces will be fired in our kilns and ready for pickup at a later date. *Shipping is available for an additional cost.
